At AutomotiveUI 2023, a total of 31 papers were accepted for oral presentation, representing a 35 % acceptance rate. The highest-scoring papers, were selected and recommended to an independent awards committee comprised of five past AutomotiveUI General Chairs to find outstanding full papers. To avoid bias, the General Chairs and Technical Program Chairs were excluded from the decision making. Based on awards committee ranks, the highest scoring paper received the “Best Paper” award, representing the top 1% of submitted papers, and four papers received an “Honorable Mention” award, representing the top 5 % of the submitted papers.
The Best Paper Award Committee was comprised of five distinguished members of the AutomotiveUI community: Dr. Gary Burnett, Dr. Andrew Kun, Dr. Myounghoon Jeon, and two members, who preferred to stay anonymous.

It is the premier forum for UI research in the automotive domain. The conference annually brings together over 200 researchers and practitioners interested in both the technical and the human aspects of in-vehicle user interfaces and applications, to provide a forum for the exchange of technical information concerning research (and practice) and educational activities for motor vehicle user interface development. We have multiple meeting categories in which researchers, practitioners, and other interested parties can take part in our conference and community.
