We are looking forward to welcoming the ACM AutomotiveUI community to Ingolstadt, Germany. Ingolstadt has about 140,000 inhabitants and is an important and central city within the Munich metropolitan region and is one of the major cities in the federal state of Bavaria.

Ingolstadt is internationally known as an automobile city – Audi group has its headquarters and largest production site there and a cluster of automobile and supplier companies has developed around Audi. 

Also it is considered a modern business location with successful universities and a wide range of jobs.

Ingolstadt Beach

German Beach Volleyball Mixed Championship takes place in Ingolstadt this year

Place: Paradeplatz Ingolstadt (next to THI)
 

From September 12 to 17, the sand sports event 'Ingolstadt Beach' will take place on the Paradeplatz, supported by MTV Ingolstadt, FC Ingolstadt, Lord Mayor Christian Scharpf and Mayoress Dorothea Deneke-Stoll. The program includes beach volleyball for children and amateur athletes from September 12 to 15, as well as the German Beach Volleyball Mixed Championship on September 16 and 17. Highlights are the show match on 'MTV Day' (September 14) and the Disco Glow Volleyball (September 12 to 16).

Ingolstadt VillageFor those who like shopping, Ingolstadt Village is a great place. It's easily accessible by bus (included in your conference ticket) that leaves in front of THI and takes you directly (in less than 20 minutes) to the mall. A "tax refund" at the airport is also available.
