The conference is held in the Glaspavillion on the campus in Essen of the University of Duisburg-Essen.
Essen belongs to the 10 largest cities in Germany and will be cultural capital of Europe in 2010. Situated in the heart of the Ruhrgebiet, it belongs to the largest metropolitain area in Germany with more than 5 million inhabitants.

From Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) the conference location can be reached in 30 minutes by train. The third biggest German airport has numerous daily connections to major cities in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN) is located 75km south of the conference location and can be reached in 60 minutes by train. It offers connections to many places around the world, and is also served by some of the budget airlines.
Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is located further away but is well-connected by the ICE train to Essen. Travel time is approximately 2 1/2 hours but may be a good alternative to changing planes.
